DAFFODIL DAY AT RIALTO

WHERE FLOWERS BLOOM, SO DOES HOPE.

DAFFODIL DAY

WEDNESDAY 19 – THURSDAY 20
AUGUST 2026

Heralding the arrival of spring with an extraordinary display of 35,000 yellow flowers, Daffodil Day at Rialto raises funds and awareness for Cancer Council’s mission.

The Rialto community came together on 19 and 20 August to support Daffodil Day, transforming the Piazza into a sea of yellow and raising an incredible amount of money for the Cancer Council.

This remarkable achievement was made possible through the generosity of our tenants, visitors, partners and volunteers, who supported the event by purchasing daffodil floral arrangements, bidding in the flower auction, making donations and helping spread awareness for an important cause.

Funds raised through Daffodil Day will help Cancer Council continue its vital work in cancer research, prevention programs and support services for Australians affected by cancer.

A highlight of the event was the construction of a spectacular 2.5-metre-high LEGO Daffodil by the team from Brickman. Over two days, visitors watched the giant daffodil take shape in the Piazza, creating a striking symbol of hope and resilience that captured the spirit of the campaign.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated volunteers from Cancer Council and the Rialto team who helped bring the event to life, as well as everyone who contributed to this outstanding fundraising result.

The success of Daffodil Day at Rialto demonstrates the power of our community coming together to make a meaningful difference. Every dollar raised supports the collective goal of a future where more lives are saved from cancer.
